Ha sido uno de los jefes m\u00e1s importantes de la pandilla MS13 y guarda prisi\u00f3n en Nueva York, donde este martes se presentar\u00e1 ante un juez en la audiencia que iniciar\u00e1 un proceso judicial que implica a otra docena de l\u00edderes pandilleros salvadore\u00f1os. Este juicio puede tener consecuencias impensadas para Nayib Bukele, el popular presidente de El Salvador que en febrero de este a\u00f1o fue reelecto mediante un pol\u00e9mico proceso re\u00f1ido con la Constituci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Hasta mediados de 2021, Crook cumpl\u00eda una condena de 40 a\u00f1os por homicidio en una c\u00e1rcel salvadore\u00f1a, pero el gobierno de Bukele lo liber\u00f3 de forma clandestina como parte de un pacto de gobernabilidad con la pandilla. Fue recapturado el 8 de noviembre pasado en M\u00e9xico y enviado a Houston y luego a Nueva York, donde el pr\u00f3ximo martes se presentar\u00e1 ante la jueza Joan Azrack del distrito este neoyorquino en Brooklyn.<\/p>\n<p>Documentaci\u00f3n judicial en poder de Infobae detalla que la jueza Azrack program\u00f3 la audiencia de este martes al mediod\u00eda en el sal\u00f3n n\u00famero 920 en la corte distrital del este de Nueva York. A la audiencia deben presentarse todas las partes para discutir la exhibici\u00f3n de pruebas y definir si Canales Rivera mantendr\u00e1 su declaratoria de no culpabilidad.
