Por qu\u00e9 lo echaron.<\/p>\n<p>Un empleado bancario de Resistencia se encontr\u00f3 con que una transferencia de 8,8 millones de pesos que deb\u00eda recibir por la venta de un veh\u00edculo se le acredit\u00f3 por un monto much\u00edsimo mayor: 8800 millones. Es decir, el equivalente a unos 8 millones de d\u00f3lares. Fue, aparentemente, fruto de un error de quien deb\u00eda digitar el monto de la transferencia bancaria.<\/p>\n<p>La incre\u00edble historia tiene como protagonista a Jos\u00e9 Carlos Aranda, empleado de la sucursal local del Banco Santander, en la esquina de Frondizi y Juan B. Justo. La entidad acab\u00f3 despidi\u00e9ndolo por considerar que de manera dolosa se apropi\u00f3 de los fondos. Ahora el emisor de la transferencia acciona para recuperar la inmensa suma de dinero.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>SORPRESA Y REACCI\u00d3N<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Al fundamentar el despido, el banco hace una reconstrucci\u00f3n propia de lo que entiende que pas\u00f3. Se\u00f1ala que la transferencia se hizo el 6 de mayo pasado, y con un error garrafal: en lugar de digitar 8,8 millones de pesos, la persona que oper\u00f3 el env\u00edo escribi\u00f3 una cifra mil veces superior. No se conoce la identidad de ese emisor, pero podr\u00eda ser una empresa, considerando que evidentemente la cuenta ten\u00eda fondos formidablemente altos. De otro modo, la transferencia no hubiera sido posible.<\/p>\n<p>La operaci\u00f3n se hizo desde el Banco Patagonia hacia la cuenta de Aranda en el Santander. La primera entidad inform\u00f3 a la segunda sobre la equivocaci\u00f3n, para lograr el reintegro de lo transferido de m\u00e1s. Pero se observ\u00f3 que los fondos no estaban intactos en la cuenta de Aranda, sino que m\u00e1s de 1700 millones de pesos ya hab\u00edan sido colocados en cuatro fondos de inversi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Las autoridades de Santander iniciaron una investigaci\u00f3n e interpelaron a Aranda sobre por qu\u00e9 no hab\u00eda reportado el error y hab\u00eda estado realizando operaciones con ellos. El banco consider\u00f3 que el empleado dio explicaciones inconsistentes y lo acus\u00f3 directamente de apropiarse indebidamente de los fondos mal transferidos.<\/p>\n<p>Alegando &#8220;p\u00e9rdida de confianza&#8221;, se le notific\u00f3 su despido d\u00edas despu\u00e9s. Ahora se encarar\u00edan acciones para recuperar el dinero, y se podr\u00eda iniciar una demanda penal.
