Se trata del segundo compromiso del a\u00f1o por los intereses trimestrales que debe pagar el Ejecutivo por el total de la deuda contra\u00edda desde 2018 con el organismo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">El vencimiento se da en momentos en que a\u00fan no est\u00e1 confirmada la reuni\u00f3n del directorio ejecutivo del Fondo, que debe tratar la segunda revisi\u00f3n del acuerdo firmado en abril de 2025 y gatillar un desembolso de US$1.000 millones. El acuerdo a nivel t\u00e9cnico fue cerrado a mediados de abril en Washington, cuando el ministro de Econom\u00eda, Luis Caputo, particip\u00f3 de la asamblea anual del FMI y el Banco Mundial.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">Esa instancia evalu\u00f3 el cumplimiento de las metas al cierre de 2025. Ahora se espera que el directorio ejecutivo del Fondo trate el caso argentino y, si lo avala, active el giro de d\u00f3lares para el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">Por los tiempos, los analistas estiman que el Ejecutivo deber\u00e1 utilizar parte de los d\u00f3lares que fue comprando el Tesoro (o que le compre al BCRA) para cumplir con ese pago. No descartaban, incluso, que pueda postergar unos d\u00edas la fecha de pago a la espera de novedades desde Washington. Ese mecanismo no es algo inusual; ya lo hizo en febrero.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">Hace 10 d\u00edas, Luis Cubeddu, subdirector del departamento que lleva el caso argentino, confirm\u00f3 que esperan que el directorio del FMI eval\u00fae la segunda revisi\u00f3n del programa con la Argentina durante mayo. &#8220;Nuestro plan es presentar la solicitud a la junta directiva a principios o mediados de mayo. Estamos preparando la documentaci\u00f3n necesaria&#8221;, anticip\u00f3 Cubeddu.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">El funcionario del FMI agreg\u00f3 que el organismo espera que la Argentina pueda acumular US$8.000 millones en reservas este a\u00f1o y reconoci\u00f3 que parte de lo que se sume ayudar\u00e1 a compensar el incumplimiento previo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">El desembolso de US$1.000 millones ser\u00e1 el tercero del acuerdo que alcanz\u00f3 la administraci\u00f3n de Javier Milei con el FMI en abril de 2025 por un total de US$20.000 millones. Con el nuevo giro, que se espera a m\u00e1s tardar para mediados de mayo, la Argentina habr\u00e1 recibido cerca del 80% del total acordado hace un a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">Durante 2026, la Argentina tendr\u00e1 que hacer pagos al FMI por m\u00e1s de US$4.400 millones. Seg\u00fan el cronograma publicado por el organismo internacional en su web, son siete vencimientos este a\u00f1o:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><strong>Febrero:<\/strong>\u00a0US$832,5 millones.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><strong>Abril:<\/strong>\u00a0un pago menor de apenas US$32.560, que se sumar\u00e1 a los US$799 millones que vencen a principios de mayo.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><strong>1 de agosto:<\/strong>\u00a0US$826 millones.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><strong>Septiembre:<\/strong>\u00a0casi US$802 millones.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><strong>Noviembre:<\/strong>\u00a0US$821 millones.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><strong>Diciembre:<\/strong>\u00a0US$343 millones.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El Gobierno enfrenta esta semana un pago de intereses por US$800 millones al Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI).
