Durante a\u00f1os fue pe\u00f3n rural, pero en su juventud fue reclutado para servir en la Guerra de la Triple Alianza y las milicias que se opon\u00edan a los federales.<\/p>\n<p>La leyenda dice que en medio del conflicto el Dios guaran\u00ed, \u00d1andeyara, se le apareci\u00f3 en un sue\u00f1o y le advirti\u00f3: &#8220;No quieras derramar sangre de tus semejantes&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Tras el sue\u00f1o, decidi\u00f3 renunciar a la milicia y convertirse en justiciero. Se destaca que le robaba a los ricos, curaba a enfermos y vengaba a las personas que hab\u00edan sufrido alguna desigualdad.<\/p>\n<p>Mientras combat\u00eda, fue detenido y sentenciado a la pena de muerte, por lo que se dictamin\u00f3 su traslado hasta la ciudad de Goya.
